Dr. DeAnn Harmon-Smith is a licensed family general dentist who has been in private practice since 1999. She graduated magna cum laude with a degree in chemistry from North Georgia College in 1992, and obtained her Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree with honors from Medical College of Georgia in 1996. She continues her dental education monthly to ensure she stays up-to-date in the latest advances in dentistry, and has received advanced training in mini dental implants.
Dr. Harmon-Smith maintains professional membership with the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, and the Clarke County Dental Society. She has received numerous awards for dental excellence, including:
- Readers’ Choice Award – Voted Best Dentist in the Athens/Oconee Area (2016)
- The Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology Award, from the American Academy of Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology
- Public Health Dentistry, from the American Association of Public Health Dentistry
- The Crest Award for Excellence in Dentistry for the Elderly, from the American Society for Geriatric Dentistry
Away from the office, she is active in her church, and enjoys running and spending time with her husband, Jeff, and three children, Porter, Ashlyn, and Brenna. She provides charitable contributions to the American Cancer Society, March of Dimes, and Oconee County School Systems and many more.
Dr. Katie Anthony attended Berry College in Rome, Georgia, where she majored in piano performance and minored in chemistry, before attending dental school at the Medical College of Georgia, graduating in 2009. She continues her dental education through attendance at the annual Hinman Dental Society meeting in Atlanta, and she also studies materials provided by the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Anthony is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the Georgia Dental Association. As a dentist, her goal is to provide excellent dental care with kindness and compassion.
Dr. Anthony and her husband, Jeremy, have one daughter, Julia, who is in kindergarten. Jeremy is an endocrinologist at St. Mary’s hospital. When not in the office, Dr. Anthony enjoys playing the piano, spending time with her family, and running.
Dr. Jessica Watson is a native of Georgia and grew up in Americus, GA. In 2008, she graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Dr. Watson received her Doctorate of Medical Dentistry at the Medical College of Georgia in 2012. She loves dentistry and enjoys collaborating with her patients of all ages to provide the best dental care for their needs.
Dr. Watson believes that learning is a lifelong commitment and is actively involved in continuing education with both the Spear Institute and Biomet Synergy Training Programs. She devotes time to several dental organizations such as the American Dental Association®, the Georgia Dental Association and the Hinman Dental Society. She also enjoys dental outreach programs such as serving as coordinator for SW District Give Kids a Smile and international medical mission trips.
She and her husband, Eric, have two small children, Claire and Will. They are actively involved in their church and are thankful to be a part of the Oconee County community.
